The IRG group was founded in 2009 by young researchers from the University of Fribourg to offer doctoral and post-doctoral researchers a platform to present their research in a peer-mentoring perspective. The IRG group experienced rapid growth and in the face of this growing interest, it was decided to give a larger scope to the initial idea by organizing scientific events open not only to young researchers but also to more experienced researchers on a specific topic of transversal importance: the methodological aspects of research in the language sciences.
